Looking for a van builder near Dallas? We're OZK Customs, based in Fayetteville, Arkansas — about 3 hours north on I-35. We build custom adventure vans, camper van conversions, and recreational vehicle upfits for clients across Texas, Oklahoma, and the surrounding region. Many of our customers come from DFW, and here's why they make the drive.
Operating in the Ozarks means lower overhead than a DFW shop. Our rent, utilities, and labor costs are all lower — and we pass that savings to you. The same quality build that would cost $100K+ at a Dallas shop often runs $75-85K here. The 3-hour drive pays for itself.
Dallas has a few van shops, and they're busy. We're selective about the projects we take on, which means your van isn't competing with 20 other builds for attention. You get consistent communication, a dedicated team, and a build that doesn't get rushed.
We have on-site camping at our shop. When your build is done, you can spend a night (or a few) in your new van right here before heading home. Make sure everything works exactly how you expected. Plus, you're in NW Arkansas — some of the best mountain biking and outdoor recreation in the country is within 30 minutes.
You're picking up a camper van — why not use it immediately? Drop off your van, we fly you home (or you drive your daily). When it's ready, fly back to Fayetteville and drive home in your new van. Or better yet, take the long way back through the Ozarks, hit some trails, and arrive home having already put miles on it.
Initial Consultation (Video Call)
We'll talk through what you're trying to accomplish, your budget, and your timeline. This takes 30-60 minutes and you'll leave with a preliminary scope and estimate.
Design & Proposal
We send you a detailed proposal with layout, electrical specs, component choices, and pricing. You can review remotely — no need to visit yet.
Drop Off (Or We Pick Up)
When you're ready, drive your van to Fayetteville. We can arrange transport back to Dallas or you can fly home. For an additional fee, we can pick up your van from DFW.
Regular Updates
Weekly photo and video updates so you see exactly how the build is progressing. No surprises. You're welcome to visit during the build, but you don't have to.
Pickup & Test Night
Come spend a night in your finished van at Adventure Point. We'll walk you through every system and make sure you're completely comfortable before you head home.
