Flatline Van Co was launched as a way for the founders to explore what they were passionate about – adventure vans and the outdoors – and provide a way for others to spend more time doing what they love as well. They understand that adventure vans are not just a product, a business, or a vehicle, they are a lifestyle.

Similar to other now mainstream van builders, Flatline Van Co began with founders who saw an unfulfilled need in the fledgling van market in the early 2010’s. As the new owner of a Sprinter Van in 2010, co-founder Silas Thurman found it to be an ideal rig for his lifestyle, interests, and profession, although there were no companies producing parts for the recreational van market. After designing and building his own parts to create the adventure van he wanted, he and the other co-founders launched Flatline Van Co in 2018, with a mission to create a company driven by real-world experience and expertise and devoted to product excellence.

One thing Flatline Van Co does differently is to employ a group of high-profile ambassadors to test the limits of each product in its intended environment. From pro snowboarders and free skiers to world class outdoor photographers, the Flatline Van Co ambassadors use their vans and gear to the limits and provide feedback that helps push innovations to meet the genuine desires of adventure van enthusiasts.
