Suspension & Lift Kits
Factory-engineered AWD conversions, purpose-built lift systems, and performance suspension upgrades for Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter vans — installed by one of the most experienced van upfitters in the country.
Why Van Suspension Upgrades Matter
A cargo van was designed to carry boxes, not a kitchen, a bed, a bathroom, and two hundred pounds of lithium batteries. The moment you add an interior build to a Ford Transit or Mercedes Sprinter, the factory suspension is working beyond its design envelope. The springs sag under the constant load. The shocks — tuned for an empty cargo bay — can't control the added mass through corners and over bumps. The ride turns spongy, the handling degrades, and every pothole becomes a body-roll event that stresses the interior cabinetry you just paid to install.
A properly engineered suspension upgrade solves every one of those problems. The right lift kit restores the van's design ride height (and then some), gives you the ground clearance to access forest service roads and unimproved campsites, and — critically — provides the spring rate and damping characteristics that match the actual weight your van carries. The difference between a converted van on stock suspension and one running the right lift system is the difference between a vehicle that tolerates adventure and one that was built for it.
OZK Customs installs three suspension systems — Quigley, Van Compass, and Bilstein — because between them, they cover every platform, every weight class, and every use case our customers bring to us. We don't carry ten brands and let you guess. We carry the three that work, and we know exactly which one belongs on your van.
Quigley Q-Lift AWD Conversion
The Quigley Q-Lift is not a lift kit. It's a complete AWD drivetrain conversion — the only factory-engineered all-wheel-drive system for the Ford Transit. Quigley doesn't bolt aftermarket parts onto a 2WD van and call it done. They engineer a complete transfer case, driveshaft, front differential, and axle assembly designed specifically for the Transit platform, manufactured to the same tolerances as the factory drivetrain, and backed by Quigley's own warranty alongside your existing Ford powertrain coverage. This is a fundamentally different product than anything else on the market.
What that means in practice: your Transit gains true all-wheel-drive capability without the compromises that come with aftermarket bolt-on kits. The steering geometry stays where Ford designed it. The alignment specs remain within factory tolerances. The center of gravity stays where it needs to be for a vehicle that carries a full living space. The Q-Lift system includes a suspension lift that provides the ground clearance for fire roads, forest service trails, and rough campsites — all while preserving the on-road ride quality that makes the Transit livable as a daily driver and long-distance cruiser.
OZK Customs is one of only seven authorized Quigley Q-Lift installers in the entire United States. That authorization isn't a marketing badge — it's a technical certification. It means our technicians have been trained by Quigley's engineering team, our shop meets Quigley's facility standards, and every installation we perform is documented and reported back to Quigley for quality assurance. When you get a Q-Lift from OZK, it's installed to factory specifications by a team that Quigley trusts with their product — and your Ford powertrain warranty is maintained.
Quigley Q-Lift AWD with Sway Bar
Complete AWD conversion for Ford Transit 2020–2025. Includes factory-engineered transfer case, front differential, suspension lift, and front sway bar for controlled cornering under load. The sway bar option is ideal for heavier interior builds where body roll management is critical.
Quigley Q-Lift AWD without Sway Bar
Complete AWD conversion for Ford Transit 2020–2025. Full drivetrain conversion with suspension lift — without the front sway bar for maximum articulation on trails and unimproved roads. Preferred for lighter builds prioritizing off-road wheel travel.
Van Compass Suspension Systems
If you're building on a Mercedes Sprinter, Van Compass is the name that matters. They are the industry leader in Sprinter suspension — and unlike generic lift kits designed for trucks that happen to fit a van, every Van Compass product is engineered from the ground up for the specific demands of a converted Sprinter carrying interior weight. That distinction matters more than most people realize until they've driven a converted van on a suspension system that wasn't designed for one.
A converted Sprinter is a fundamentally different vehicle than the empty cargo van Mercedes engineered the factory suspension for. The weight distribution changes. The center of gravity rises. The constant load on the springs and shocks never lets up — there's no "unloaded" condition when your build is permanent. Van Compass designs for exactly this scenario. Their spring rates are tuned for the actual weight range of converted vans. Their shock valving accounts for the higher center of gravity. Their bump stops are engineered to prevent bottoming out when a fully loaded van hits a rough patch at highway speed.
OZK installs two Van Compass configurations based on your Sprinter variant and build weight. The Stage 4.3 for Sprinter 2500 and the Stage 6.3 for Sprinter 3500 — each calibrated for the specific GVWR and load characteristics of its platform. We don't guess which system goes on your van. We weigh the build spec, match the suspension to the load, and install a system that transforms how your Sprinter drives, handles, and rides from the moment you leave our shop.
Van Compass Stage 4.3 — Sprinter 2500
2-inch lift with upgraded shocks and progressive bump stops, engineered for the Sprinter 2500 platform. Tuned for converted vans in the standard weight range — couples, weekend adventurers, and moderate interior builds. Dramatically improves ride quality and ground clearance over stock.
Van Compass Stage 6.3 — Sprinter 3500
Heavy-duty lift system designed for the Sprinter 3500 carrying serious interior weight. Upgraded spring rates, heavy-duty shock valving, and reinforced bump stops accommodate the heavier builds — full bathrooms, large battery banks, and extended cabinetry — without sacrificing ride quality.
Bilstein B6 Strut & Shock Kit
Every lift system — whether it's a Quigley Q-Lift on a Transit or a Van Compass stage kit on a Sprinter — changes the geometry that the factory shocks were designed for. Running stock shocks on a lifted van is like wearing dress shoes on a hiking trail: technically possible, functionally wrong, and guaranteed to cause problems. Bilstein B6 struts and shocks are engineered to work at lifted ride heights, delivering the damping performance your suspension system needs to actually perform as designed.
The B6 uses Bilstein's monotube gas-pressure technology — a fundamentally different design than the twin-tube shocks that come from the factory. A monotube shock separates the oil chamber from the gas chamber with a floating piston, which means the oil never aerates under hard use. The result is consistent damping performance whether you're cruising a highway in Arizona heat or crawling through washboard gravel in the mountains. No fade, no wallow, no surprise body roll when you change direction with a loaded van.
The B6 also dissipates heat significantly faster than twin-tube designs. In a van application — where the shocks are working constantly under the weight of an interior build — heat management is the difference between shocks that last and shocks that fade. OZK installs the Bilstein B6 as a standard pairing with both Quigley Q-Lift and Van Compass systems. It's not an upgrade. It's the baseline for how your lifted van should perform.
Monotube Gas-Pressure Design
Floating piston separates oil and gas chambers — no aeration, no fade, no loss of damping control under sustained use. Consistent performance in every condition.
Superior Heat Dissipation
Monotube construction dissipates heat faster than twin-tube factory shocks. Critical for converted vans where shocks work constantly under permanent interior load.
Lifted-Geometry Compatible
Engineered to perform at lifted ride heights. Pairs with both Quigley Q-Lift and Van Compass systems to deliver the damping characteristics your suspension was designed for.
Which System Is Right for Your Van?
The right suspension depends on your platform, your build weight, and how you use your van. There's no universal answer — which is exactly why OZK carries three systems instead of one. Here's the framework we use with every customer.
Ford Transit owners have a decision no other platform offers: the Quigley Q-Lift gives you a full AWD drivetrain conversion — not just a lift, but actual all-wheel-drive capability. If you want your Transit to go places a 2WD van simply cannot, this is the only factory- engineered option. The sway bar variant is ideal for heavier builds where cornering stability matters; the non-sway-bar variant maximizes wheel articulation for serious off-road use.
Sprinter 2500 owners building a standard conversion — couples, part-time vanlife, moderate interior weight — the Van Compass Stage 4.3 is the right fit. It provides 2 inches of lift, upgraded shocks tuned for your weight range, and progressive bump stops that prevent bottoming out without harshening the ride.
Sprinter 3500 owners running heavier builds — full bathrooms, large water tanks, extensive cabinetry — need the Van Compass Stage 6.3. Its heavy-duty spring rates and shock valving are calibrated for the higher GVWR and the additional weight that separates a weekend van from a full-time home on wheels.
Every configuration gets Bilstein B6 shocks as the damping foundation. This isn't optional — it's how the system was designed to work, and running a lift without matched damping creates a vehicle that rides worse than stock, not better.

Why Professional Installation Matters
Factory Authorization
OZK is one of seven authorized Quigley Q-Lift installers in the United States. This isn't a sticker on our wall — it's a technical certification that means your AWD conversion is installed to factory specifications, your Ford warranty is maintained, and your suspension was set up by a team that Quigley trusts with their product.
Suspension-Specific Expertise
Suspension work isn't bolt-on. Torque specs, alignment geometry, spring preload, shock valving — every detail matters. Our technicians install Quigley, Van Compass, and Bilstein systems every week. This isn't their first lift kit. It's their hundredth. That experience shows in ride quality, longevity, and zero comebacks.
Warranty Protection
Every component we install carries its manufacturer warranty — Quigley, Van Compass, Bilstein. Professional installation by an authorized dealer ensures those warranties stay valid. Improper installation is the number one reason suspension warranty claims get denied. Our documentation protects your investment.
Integrated Build Planning
Suspension is the foundation — everything else builds on top of it. When OZK handles your lift, we plan the entire build around it. Interior weight distribution, electrical routing, exterior accessory mounting — all designed to work with your specific suspension configuration, not around it.
The Suspension Installation Process

Your van enters our shop and our technicians install the complete suspension system to factory specifications. Every bolt torqued, every alignment point set, every component documented.
Test & Deliver
Full road test under loaded conditions. Alignment verified. All fasteners re-checked at torque spec. You get a complete walkthrough of your new suspension system and what to expect from it.
Suspension installations can be standalone or part of a complete van conversion. Ask about bundling with interior, electrical, and exterior packages.
Suspension as Part of a Complete Build
Most OZK customers don't come in for suspension alone — they come in because the suspension is the foundation of a larger build. And that's exactly how we approach it. When your suspension is installed by the same team building your interior, electrical, climate, and exterior systems, every decision accounts for every other decision. The interior build weight informs the spring rate. The electrical routing is planned around the drivetrain components. The exterior accessories are mounted with the new ride height and center of gravity in mind.
When you piece together a build across multiple shops — one for suspension, one for interior, one for electrical — nobody owns the result. The lift shop doesn't know what interior weight you're adding. The interior shop doesn't know how the suspension changes the floor clearance. The electrical shop doesn't know where the transfer case components are routed. With OZK, one team builds the entire vehicle, one team stands behind the entire vehicle, and one phone call gets you support for anything.
