Maybe you have thought about putting panels on your roof, but aren’t ready to commit yet, or have other plans for your van’s roof apart from mounting as many solar panels as possible. Goal Zero’s Boulder Solar Briefcase option gives you the flexibility of portable panels, designed to be folded up and stored when not in use. This also provides the added benefits of not requiring you to park your van in full sun throughout the day to charge your panels – a perk for your AC system in the summer especially. With the easily portable solar briefcase you can park your van in the shade and set the panels in the sun, moving them as you need throughout the day to efficiently capture the most solar energy possible.

The 200-Watt briefcase gives you two 100-Watt panels connected with chains and a hinge – built from resilient tempered glass and with lightweight aluminum frames, weighting a total of 42 lbs. The panels come with an integrated kickstand so the panel can be propped at an ideal 45-degree angle to capture the most direct sunlight. Each solar briefcase kit comes with a protective canvas bag for easy carrying and storage when you are ready to pack up camp and move to your next destination.
