OZK Customs + OZK Custom Water Setup

Given that water literally is the sustenance of life, we always want to make sure you have some type of water storage built into your van upfit! There are numerous options for this – including completely external tanks like the undercarriage tanks from NW Conversions, to the Agile Offroad Wheel Well tanks that install in the little used wall space over your wheel wells. These tanks can offer many gallons of water storage for long trips away from potable water sources (or even just long showers!). Now we also often build our own internal water system into your van, with two basic, custom options.

The first option is simple and almost a must-have! We install a 6-gallon jerry can in the galley cabinet area under your sink, feeding it with fresh water for washing dishes, hands, or just getting a glass of water. The gray water feeds back down into another 6-gallon jerry that sits right beside the first under the sink. Simply empty the gray water jerry can and refill the first with fresh water when the system needs it! The benefits of this method are that it is compact, does not require us to install plumbing through the van, or to drill through the floor to mount a gray water tank underneath the van.

If you need a slightly larger internal water system, we can also custom install a 30 gallon, or even larger tank in the back of your camper van (as with everything in your camper van from OZK Customs, the size and placement of this system will be tailor-made for your needs). The addition of a larger water storage option requires us to plumb that water up to the sink or shower then down to a large capacity gray water tank that we will install under the van.
