A Ford Transit is not a Mercedes Sprinter is not a Ram ProMaster. The interior dimensions, wall angles, wheel well positions, and factory mounting points are different on every platform — and a bed platform that ignores those differences is a bed platform that doesn't fit right. Flatline Van Co designs and manufactures a dedicated platform for each van model, engineered from the ground up around that vehicle's specific interior geometry. When we install a Flatline platform in your Sprinter, it was designed for a Sprinter. Period.

The Sprinter platform accounts for the Sprinter's distinctive ribbed walls, the specific location of its wheel wells in the 144-inch and 170-inch wheelbases, and the mounting points available in that chassis. The Transit platform is shaped for the Transit's wider interior profile and its different wheel well geometry. The ProMaster platform works with the ProMaster's flat floor and its unique wall contours. Each design maximizes the usable sleeping surface for that specific van while maintaining full access to the garage storage area underneath.

This platform-specific approach matters because millimeters count in a van. A platform that's even half an inch too narrow leaves a gap where your mattress shifts and belongings fall through. One that's a quarter-inch too wide won't clear the wall panels. A support leg that lands a few inches off from the optimal position creates a flex point that turns into a squeak, then a crack, then a failure. Flatline's CNC precision eliminates every one of these problems before the platform ever leaves the shop.

CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control — it means every cut on a Flatline platform is made by a precision machine following a digital file, not by a person eyeballing a tape measure and running a circular saw. The difference between CNC-cut components and hand-cut components isn't subtle. CNC cutting delivers tolerances measured in thousandths of an inch, producing edges that are clean, joints that are tight, and panels that fit together without gaps, shims, or creative caulking. The plywood itself is selected for the specific demands of a van bed platform. It needs to be strong enough to support sleeping weight — two adults plus a mattress, with the load distributed across the platform surface and concentrated at the support points. The space underneath your bed platform is the single largest storage volume in most van builds — and the Flatline platform is designed to make every cubic inch of it accessible. The platform's sectioned design means individual panels can be removed without disassembling the entire bed — giving you access to specific areas of the garage for maintenance, electrical work, or grabbing a specific piece of gear without unpacking everything on top. This is critical for builds that run electrical components under the bed, where you need to reach battery banks, distribution panels, or wiring runs without tearing out the interior.

The garage area also serves as the primary space for your electrical system. Battery banks, inverters, charge controllers, and distribution panels all live under the bed platform in most van builds, protected from the elements and out of the living space.
